KAHAN ("we", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account Information: Username, display name, email address, password, date of birth (to confirm you are 13 or older), profile photo, and bio.
  • User Content: Videos (including audio you record), comments, and direct messages.
  • Usage Data: Likes, follows, and watch activity stored so the app can show your feed.
  • Approximate location: A country code derived from your IP address. We do not collect GPS or precise location.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to:

  • Provide and improve the Service.
  • Personalize your feed.
  • Confirm you are 13 or older and show content for your country.
  • Ensure community safety and enforce our Terms.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

  • Service providers that host the app for us (account database and video storage). They process data on our behalf. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising or tracking across other companies' apps.
  • Law enforcement, if required by law.

5. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account in the app under Settings → Delete account, or follow the steps on our delete account page. You can also email [email protected] from the email on the account.

6. Data Retention

We keep your information while your account is active. When you delete the account, we delete the profile, posts, comments, messages, likes, follows, and login associated with it. Those items are no longer available in KAHAN. Copies other people already saved on their own devices are outside our control.

7. Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

8. Children's Privacy

KAHAN is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
